Rules when fishing at Pillaton Pools

  • To fish the pools at Pillaton we ask that you are a competent fisherperson with at least two years fishing experience
  • Children 16 and under must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times whilst fishing
  • Adults supervising children fishing must have a valid rod licence with a minimum of two years fishing experience
  • Each person fishing must hold a current rod licence, this will need to be shown when obtaining your fishing wristband
  • Day tickets are for our overnight campers only
  • No night fishing
  • Fishing between dawn and dusk only
  • No person is permitted to fish without a valid wristband or membership
  • Individual UNHOOKING MATS and LANDING NETS must be used at all times, sharing is not permitted
  • Strictly no keep nets to be used
  • Barbless hooks must be used at all times, strictly no barbed hooks to be used
  • No radios or music by the pool side
  • No parking by pools or on the grass; parking is permitted in designated parking areas only
  • No dogs around the fishing pools
  • No braid line to be used
  • No litter or line to be left around or on the pegs
  • NO HEMP, PEANUTS, or FLOATING BAITS to be used
  • NO STALKING FISH – please pick a peg and stick to it
  • Strictly no unattended bite alarms to be used
  • Do not leave your peg unattended at any time
  • Pegs cannot be reserved
  • All pegs must be cleared and equipment must be taken away at the end of each day
  • No bivvy tents or equipment to be left out overnight
  • Pillaton Hall Farm do not take any responsibility for any loss, damage or injury to any persons or equipment whilst using our pools
  • Any person found to be breaking any of the rules will be asked to stop fishing immediately and may be asked to leave the site
